Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, ME

Sunset at our RV park.
Acadia  National Park.

Mike at the beach.

Bar Harbor

Cute little place tucked between two buildings.

The little boats are tenders returning the passengers to the cruise ship.

Time for a beer.

Beer list. Very important. All made here.

Not crowded here.

Ahhhhhh! Notice Dad and I are wearing our Ben and Jerry's hats.
We started out the day with breakfast in Bar Harbor. Then off to get a new patch for dad's bed. Once that was done, we drove around the loop in Acadia National Park. After that we wanted to go back into Bar Harbor for an ice cream and or a beer but it was way too crowded; so we went to the Atlantic Brewing Co instead. Then Mike and dad went to Walmart to buy a new matteress for dad/s bed. The battle was over; the old bed won. All in all it was a fun day. Many beautiful sights.

Bar Harbor, ME Lobster Night!

Our lobster going in the wood fired lobster pots.

Our dinner steaming away.

Our table neighbor's two and a half pound lobster. Same as dad's.

Before.

After.
We finally got to Bar Harbor! Barb and my GPS have their own opinion as to which way to get to Bar Harbor. They went one way and we went another. We managed to get separated and they went Highway 3 over the hills and through the woods; while we went on I-95 to I-395 through Bangor. We both pulled into our RV park around 3:30, so by the time we set up, it was time to eat. What do we want for dinner. Why duh, lobster of course. We were told the Trenton Lobster Pound was the best. No fine linens here; just a simple lobster shack with great lobster The colors are not quite there yet. It's cooled down here and that should bring the colors out.

Barre, VT Hope Cemetary

/there are names etched in each chain.

Race care driver killed in a snow-mobile accident at 28.

Yes, these are all head stones. You must Google this to get all of the information and history on this cemetery.  My concern is not so much their lavish memoral to themselves; but where they are spending eternity. I know that at least two are. There are so many, that I couldn't see them all.

Mike with Canada behind him.
Wow! What a day! Seemed like we spent the whole day in the shower between the falls and the rain. We went on the Maid Of The Mist and rode to the falls, then did the Cave Of the Winds. Boy, were we wet and cold at the end of the day. How nice it was to get back to our rv's to dinner waiting for us in the crock pot! It rained for most of the night. The sun greeted us the next morning and we had a great day for travel.
